"In-Basket" The tasks I as a supervisor have been faced with include the following: 1. Two applications for jobs( Act on by calling the applicants and telling them there is no job openings available at this time). 2. A note to call Mary (salesclerk) about vacation Schedule( act on by discussing schedule with Mary). 3. A notice that the mall will be changing hours for the upcoming holiday and requesting notice of store plans (act on but posting schedules and notifying the mall). 4. A customer complaint regarding product quality( delegate to shift manager). 5. Four shipping receipts indicating that about 130 pairs of shoes have been delivered and need to be stocked (delegate and organize jobs according to department). 6. Bids from three companies responding to requests for bids on a cash register system (each store chooses its own).(act on by comparing bids and asking opinions of other managers).
