Leah Smith Reflection #9 The people who created this visual text are the men or women who work for BMW’s advertising agent. BMW distributed the advertisement. I could look through other BMW ads to find out more about these people and look for other work they have done. The creator’s attitude towards the image seems to be superior or better. The creator and the distributor intend for the advertisement to encourage people to want to buy a new BMW. Both have the same intentions. All media is used for visual text including words, images, sounds, videos, graphs and charts. To communicate words and images the media presents ideas and emotions through careful placing of the words and highlighting of certain areas of the picture and so forth. The words “Compromise is cliché” works together with the brand new BMW car to show that owning this car makes you better. The effect the medium has of the visual text is either being able to stress the text or hide the text in the background. With movies and sounds there is little text on
