You will need to visit us during office hours or review sessions for such questions. If you miss a class and need to know the next reading assignment, please check blackboard before emailing us. If you do not find the needed information posted, please email your TA and not Dr. Fakhreddine. 1 WEB PAGE We will be using blackboard. Please log in at https://courses.utexas.edu . When You Are In Class…. Turn off your cell phones and put them away. Put away all other sources of distractions such as your PC, your iPods, The Daily Texan etc… NOTICES Will be announced in class and posted on blackboard. REVIEW SESSIONS During an exam week, there will be no regular discussions . Instead, the TA will conduct ONE evening review session for ALL students. Times and locations are listed below. ADD/DROP The last date to drop the course for a possible refund is Friday, September 10, 2010. The last day to drop the course without a possible academic penalty is Wednesday, September 22, 2010 (requires instructor approval). After this, students may go to the Dean's office, WCH 2.112, to appeal for non-academic reasons. TEXT (REQUIRED) We will be using the Zumdahl eBook CHEMICAL PRINCIPLES (6TH EDITION), Houghton Mufflin Publishing. In order to have access to the ebook, you will need to buy a registration code, you can buy this on line or from the book store. Once you have your registration code, please go to: http://login.cengage.com/sso/login.do , click on Create a New Student Account and follow the instructions.
