Sunny Ahmed Dr. Harkins 64685 November 15th 2010 Caucus Notes Illegal Immigration I believe America should not change any of their current rules and regulations considering illegal immigration because it would affect the country entirely. The eco- nomy, education system and social aspects of the United States would change drastic- ally. The economy of the United States would drastically differ if it were to stop illegal immigration. The cost of illegal immigration to the Unites States is $113 billion a year. With this statistic, many would rally against illegal immigration. $113 billion a year is drowning us in debt by the decade and by 2020, a projection shows that the US will be in almost $16 trillion. On the other hand, without illegal immigration, many businesses and citizens would be at a loss. Illegal immigration is a cheap source of labor and very risky considering it is illegal. Illegal immigrants boost the economy as well. Their spend- ing alone, benefits the economy by $245 billion. One begins to really contemplate if they
