It explained how illegal immigrants in our nation are hard workers who earn lower wages. Therefore, this helps to keep down prices in our economy. It showed research that immigrants who work for low wages, increase profit for business and allow them to expand and boost economic activity. This article claims the only cost illegal immigrants impose on our economy is their use of federal, state, and local resources and many of these costs, such as school and hospitals, are used by children born in the U.S.. It con- tinues on to explain how most immigrants pay federal taxes and payroll taxes. This means that immigrants are paying these taxes, but are unable to receive the benefits of these programs. Finally, it claims that illegal immigrants improve the nations overall labor pool and productivity.
