In this course we will examine the behavioral, cultural, contextual, and biologic principles of psychology. The ultimate objective is for you to develop a framework that would guide real world application of theory to clinical practice, pedagogical practice, and further research. Required Textbook Classroom Response Device: Introduction to Psychology TurningPoint wireless Response Card Eighth Edition, James Kalat (2008) IMPORTANT NOTE: Make sure you purchase the package that includes a binder, the transmitter, and the textbook. Otherwise, you may end up paying more for the items separately, even if you get a used book.

Course Requirements You will be responsible for all assigned readings, all of the material covered during lectures, and for knowing the correct dates of exams. Class Participation The wireless classroom communication system will enable every student in the class to respond to questions presented by the instructor. Points will be accumulated by students for answering questions: You will receive 1 point for each question answered, and 2 points for each question answered correctly. At the end of the semester, your class participation percentage will count as 25% of your final score for the course.
