Education 2 In order to have an effective classroom that is multicultural, there needs to be assignments and activities that involve all the students. There will be different types of assignments for every grade level, subject area and the different students in the class. In this case, I have a second grade class with students from all walks of life. In my multicultural classroom I have 7 Caucasian, 5 Latino, 4 African American, 3 Native American and 2 Asian students. Of those students, 4 of them are special needs and 1 is in a wheel chair. Some parents and fellow teachers have asked me, how do I plan on having an effective classroom with all of these different students? At open house, where the parents meet with their child’s teacher, I will explain to the parents that I will be teaching the students Social Studies and Language Arts. I also will tell the parents about the type of assignments that will be used in my classroom. One of the first
