Culture and Arts 2 This essay is a description of the culture and the arts of the Italian Renaissance and the Northern European Renaissance. The essay will also discuss the social and cultural similarities and differences between the two cultures. The relationship between the arts and cultures will be described as well as the cultural and social differences reflected in the arts of these Renaissances. There will be a couple of artistic examples to illustrate points from the cultural and social aspect of the arts. The Italian Renaissance culture is based on the philosophy of humanism which has an emphasis on individual achievements with great artist. The Northern European Renaissance was similar to the Italian because King Francis I imported some Italian art and wanted some of the famous artist to build grand palaces, make sculptures and paintings according to Wikipedia (2009). The Italian wars played a huge role in the culture and arts and it spread throughout the
