Human Experience 2 The artwork that I have encountered that expresses the human experience is in the form of music. To me, music has the ability to express all of the feelings a person may have. From love, loss, pleasure, pain, hope, frustration, elation or despair, all of those feelings can be explained through song. The song that touches me the most is a gospel song by Luther Barnes. This particular song has helped me deal with the loss of my father and my grandfather. The name of the song is, “That Other Shore”, Luther Barnes (1997). “Though the clouds may hangover there will be a brighter day in that land, they call heaven God shall wipe all tears away”, Barnes (1997). In that particular part of the song, I thought about my father and grandfather’s sicknesses and how they were better off since that had passed and would not have to deal with sickness no more.
