Chapter 5 Application software is software that you turn on and your turn  off Word processors, spreadsheets, database, presentation software  and project management software are needed for business Word processor makes documents, edit documents, save documents.  Can be saved as a web page and post it Spreadsheets is a “what if” analysis, a cell is where a row  intersects with a column Database, well thought out collection of files or tables that  consist of records and columns Presentation application programs like PowerPoint, typically  projected for an audience and can turn it into a pdf The most important thing that a productivity suite can do is  share data by cut and paste(static), object embedding(static),  and object linking(dynamic) Most common Image editing software is adobe Photoshop WYSIWYG(what you see is what you get)
