Introduction to Decision Making We all make decisions each day. Some of great importance and some of small choices. Some people think long and clear while others think quick and the decision end up being a poor choice. Ron, the production manager at the company I work asked me to set in on a meeting he was having with a sales representative from “Big Machines, Inc.” This is not a new company to us, as we have bought a major piece of equipment for production from them before. They were a reliable company and our decision to deal with them was one of excellent. Now they are back to sell additional options and services for that same piece of equipment. Ron finds the information that the sales rep is presenting as being one that could cost the company a great deal of money but after listening to the sales rep discuss the cost of the money he decides to change his mind and accept the proposal.
