Introduction: Dacia: a Renault group brand • Dacia has sold more than 95 000 vehicles in 2004, including 15 000 for export. The brand recorded a sales growth of 38% and deals with ambition and the confidence of its international success in 2005. • Renault bought Dacia in 1999 and now holds 99.3% of its shares. Since privatization, the Dacia’s production tool was completely transformed. With an investment of 489 million Euros, the Dacia’s production tool was brought to the highest European standards with the working methods used in the factories of Renault Group. Mission statement: Dacia’s mission statement: Think big, pay little Interpretation: - The mission statement is customer oriented because it stated the price. - You can have a good car with a good price, with many facilities. - Dacia is a car with a good quality, with a Renault motor, and cheaper than Renault cars.
