Irish o Immigration: the first wave- irish, german, Chinese Proto- industrial revolution (1830-1870)- small business- there was a changing idea from skilled laborerse working to make one product to unkilled labors working in a nasssmebly lin eporcess. They were gearin g up for the industrial revoultuion (post civil wat). Business owners need employees so deperatly that they ask people from other countries to come over. They take flyers to other countries. Move from skilled workiers to unskilled workers. Employees are cheaper and easier to replace. No WASP would want job, so immagrants need to work. Jobs were broken up to make quicker and a little easrier Most immagrants got to New York or Boston where a lot of factories were located. People move from farms to big cities. o Four Factories of Success(for all immagrants Money- do you come to America with money If you come toamerica with money, you will be more successful You can buy things You can open your business You can buy land
