Unformatted text preview: Victor Chau Duong Phil 3 MW Gun Laws Owning a handgun can be both a good and bad thing. When it is in the hands of innocent people, it is used for protection and safety. The question is whether violent crimes is due to enforcing gun laws or having no gun laws. In the first essay, Next, Comprehensive Reform of Gun Laws from the source of USA Today states that gun laws should be enforced and is a stepping stone to stopping crimes. In essay two, Gun Laws Are No Answer. Gottliebs view on gun laws is that without protection it actually increases the crime rate. When strict gun-control laws are passed, crime and violence doesnt get any better, but actually gets worse. Many people believe in the right to bear arms and dont agree with gun control laws. I, myself also agree that we should have the right to bear arms since it is in the second amendment. USA today says that The Solution is the adoption of laws that permit gun licensing, gun registration and firearm training and education.
