Forms and Macros From your Webcourses’ “In Class Lab Pages” folder, download the “database _Form_Macro_Query_Labs” and save it to your desktop. Creating Forms for data input This view of the form in called “form view.”  Try the “form” wizard to create an input form for the salesperson  table 1. Click on Create 2. Click on More Forms 3. Click on Form Wizard 4. In the drop down box, click on salesperson table 5. Add all fields to the form (a form can only be used to add  records to a table if all the fields in that table are on the form – you  can make some of the fields invisible  but they must be on the form) 6. Click Next 7. Select defaults and/or other options until the “naming” page of  the wizard comes up—change the name frm-salesperson. 8. Click Finish and view the form.   This view is “design view”—from here you have a different toolbar  and can change attributes of the labels, fields and form.   Each object on a form has a property sheet that is viewable by “right- clicking” on the object and selecting “properties”  From the property sheet you can change the look and feel of the form —try changing Scroll Bars, Record Selectors, and Navigation  buttons and then look at the form in “form view” and see how it has  changed.   Go back to design view.  If you want a header on the form, right click  on the form and select form header/footer.  Add a label to the section  and add text to the label.  Then look at the form in form view again.  Save as “frm_salesperson” and close. Adding closed loop verification is a way to improve form user friendliness and accuracy. In access, it requires that the form is built from a query, not a table. page 1 of 5
