Course Objectives: The primary course objectives are: to introduce students to a broad range of tax concepts and types of taxpayers; to emphasize the role of taxation in the business decision-making process; and to provide students with a knowledge of the interrelationship and differences between financial accounting and tax accounting. Prerequisites: Junior standing and ACG 2021 and ACG 2071. (ACG 3131 Highly Recommended) Text: REQUIRED Taxation of Business Entities. 2011. Smith, Raabe, and Maloney RECOMMENDED Lecture Notes may be downloaded from my WEB page. Method of Instruction: Class sessions will be a combination of instructor lecture and class discussion of assigned problems.
