Organization: Tutorial Suen Whei Yeap T1 MON 1530-1630 SPMS-TR4 Lee Chong Eu T2 MON 1630-1730 SPMS-TR4 Firdaus Prabowo T3 THU 0830-0930 SPMS-TR4 Chan Chon U T4 THU 1030-1130 SPMS-TR4  Tutorial start in 2 nd  week  Stick to the assigned tutorials as there are limited places  PHYS1A students should distribute during week 2-4 in one   of the 4 tutorial groups. From week 5 two separate tutorials   is offered  on Monday.

How to get through the course and have fun ? Do the homework, tutorial sheet Attend the Tutorials Prepare the lecture in advance: read the  chapter in the textbook Discuss the issues, learn the language,  practice it, form study groups Meet at the Physics Clinique Attend the lectures

Organize yourself Spare enough time for tutorial  preparation (4-6 hours per week are  needed) Work through the textbook chapter (not  only reading, but understanding) Go through the questions and some of  the problems at the end of each chapter

Tests and Examination One midterm test 3 graded homeworks (10% of final  grade) 1 midterm test (30% of final grade) after recess week exam (60% of final grade)
