The Collaborator of Bethlehem – Inductive Reasoning I. Omar Yussef infers Jihad Awdeh is the collaborator and murderer of Louai Abdel Rahman. 1. When George Saba confronted Hussein Tamari and Jihad Awdeh on his roof, Awdeh threatened George with a throat-cutting motion (91). The next day, George was arrested. 2. Right before Louai was murdered, his wife heard him address an 'Abu Walid' (36). Abu means 'father of' and Walid is the name of Jihad's eldest son (243). 3. Omar found matching machine gun cartridges at Louai's murder scene (38) and on George's roof (77). Later, George told Omar that he saw Jihad picking up metal things from his roof (91). George inferred that he was picking up these cartridges but missed one of the roof. 4. Khamis Zeydan told Omar that Jihad was considered an outsider in the Martyr Brigade and he was always trying to make up for it by being more ruthless than the rest of the men. (57) 5.
