Trade volume has tripled since NAFTA was made in 1994 1. NAFTA failing to lift the people out of poverty although they are  tripling business b. Pymex (Mexico’s state run oil company is one of the world’s largest oil  companies) c. Tourism from the beaches c. Why people so poor??? a. Mexico has a weak public education system (meaning they cannot  better sills in the economy that is so demanding) b. Government corruption      Dirty war  (arresting and killing random  Mexican people) 1. Chaotic state; so many crimes are overlooked a. Many people leaving rural areas to come to the cities i. Increase in population is increase in poverty 2. Broken banking system 3. No credit  people cannot purchase houses or start small  businesses so stay afloat in the tough economy c. The Fox government  launched a new program,
