1. Because it makes the development process faster and easier, especially for projects where end-user requirements are hard to define. Advantages are, of course, making things faster and easier. Disadvantages would be that it is often developed quickly and requires many revisions. 2. Most people have experienced betrayal, either firsthand or witnessed through someone else. As such, we’re distrustful of strangers, and for good reason. Especially when they’re handling our hard-earned money. So the need for reassurance and security is an understandable thing in the vast world or the internet. Personally, they’ve developed enough brand equity where it wouldn’t matter to me whether or not they went around proclaiming it, they’ve already proven it far as I’m concerned. 3. Simplify and streamline it. Like in the Priceline example, every time you take a thought out of the process, it’s a good thing.
