COMPANY CASE ESPN: THE EVOLUTION OF AN ENTERTAINMENT BRAND 1. The first thing that comes in consumers’ mind when they think of ESPN is “sports”.  ESPN is the worldwide leader in sports. ESPN allows consumers to watch and  experience sporting events and products worldwide. 2. The core product is the benefit of the product that makes it valuable to the consumer. In  terms of the core benefit, ESPN is selling an enjoyable time since sport is linked with  passion and pleasure.  The actual product is the tangible, physical product proposed by the company. ESPN is  selling 24hours sports network. Television, Radio, Publishing, Internet, and Mobile are  the main areas where ESPN expands its product. The augmented product is the non-physical part of the product.  It is the additional non- tangible benefits that the company offers. For example, ESPN offers event
