EXSS 260 Women and Sport Reaction Paper #4 Questions : 1. How has your gender impacted your experience with sport? 2. Imagine if you had been born the opposite sex (whatever you aren’t currently). For purposes of this question, assume that you keep all of your personality and traits, but are now the opposite sex. Would your experience with sport be the same or different? Explain! Growing up, I feel I took as much advantage as I could playing sports both in and outside of school. I began playing soccer when I was 4, and I was one of the only girls on the team. I went on to play t-ball on a co-ed team, and when I was in the 3 rd and 4 th grades, I was one of only two girls on my soccer team. I think that being one of the only girls made me become more competitive, because I wanted to be as good as the boys and I wanted them to think that I was as good as they were. I think that growing up playing on all co-ed teams really helped me develop into the athlete I became when I was older. When I joined a traveling all-girl soccer team in
