Emily Prestridge Kin 4512 November 17, 2010 Assignment 3 Philip is the individual that I will be working with. He is a 5’10, 23- year-old male, with a rotator cuff injury. Philip works out on a regular basis and was in the process of gaining muscle mass. He also works outside and cuts lawns for a living. His injury is really taking a toll on his occupation and workout routine. He is unable to do his usually weight training workout routine for his upper body with his injuries, and is experiencing a loss of muscle mass in his biceps. I am interested in working with people who have injuries that effect their everyday workout routines and everyday life. I am meeting Philip at the YMCA to help design a routine for his upper body that will help him strengthen his muscles in his shoulder and also increase his flexibility. We meet right after his orthopedic visit. Philip tells me that he is worried that if he keeps working out and putting tension on his shoulder muscles that he will keep injuring his rotator cuff. He does not want to keep
