Emily Prestridge KIN 3502 Summer 2010 KIN 3502: Tests and Measurement in Kinesiology Lab One: Shuttle Run and Standing Long Jump 1.) My ID number is number 7. I have a criterion score of 10.7 seconds in the shuttle run, and 1.87 meters in the standing long jump. 2.) The criterion score for the standing long jump should be determined by taking an average of the three scores. It is always better to have more than one trial or variable tested in order to get the most accurate score. By taking an average of the scores, instead of just choosing the best score, the score is more accurate. 3.) I did not encounter any difficulty when scoring for the standing long jump. The important points to remember when administering the standing long jump are the placement of the feet. If you start with your heel in front of the line, then after you jump, measure where your heel lands. If you stand with your toes behind the line, then after you jump, measure where your toes are. 4.) In my standing long jump trial I actually got worse each time. With
