This means any time you use a book, journal, magazine article, the internet, or a movie You can find Citation guidelines at: http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/01/ Or you can look at and/or purchase the latest APA manual: http://www.apastyle.org/ Table of Contents APA Formatting If you Quote… reference where you got the quote. Quotes require the use of “” any time you take exact words from another source-- it can be a whole sentence or just a few words. You also have to provide the page number in your in-text citation E.g., (Obama, 2008, p.23) Even if you change the words, if you got an idea from another source, you need to cite the source. Table of Contents APA Formatting For the film critique, cite the film the first time you mention it. For the cultural event, cite the event if it was an official event , i.e. a college event. Always provide the last name and the person’s initials.
