Miki Patel 11/25/08 Mod A Niccolò Machiavelli Niccolò Machiavelli was born on May 3, 1469 in Florence, Italy. Niccolò Machiavelli died in San Casciano on June 21, 1527 at the age of 58. A cenotaph was placed at the Church of Santa Croce for his honor in Florence, Italy after his death. Machiavelli was the second son of Bernardo di Niccolò Machiavelli. Niccolò Machiavelli was mostly interested in politics, military theory and history. Niccolò Machiavelli is best known for writing The Prince at the age of 36. The Prince was written in 1513 and published in 1532. The Prince explains what a prince should be like and how to be a great and powerful ruler. The prince is the world’s most famous master plan for seizing and holding power. The Prince is also a guide for acquiring and keeping power.
