P a g e | 1 The article “Green Urban Worlds” by Jennifer Wolch (2007) is about making our unsustainable urban cities healthy and environmental friendly. The population is urbanizing rapidly leading to polluted cities as well as increased waste (Wolch, 2007). Wolch predicts that this trend will have a negative impact on future generations that will reside in urban cities (Wolch, 2007). As cities are becoming more developed, air, land and soil is getting more toxic which is affecting the wildlife (Wolch, 2007). This article is an approach to convey to the audience who are interested in the urban geography and the environment to understand the issue of present urbanization better, and be encouraged to promote green urbanization. The main focus of the article lies in the three challenges that society is facing today: improving the environmental conditions of the city, rehabilitating our production and consumption system and being able to promote social and environmental justice (Wolch, 2007). The main weakness in the article was that the author lacks emphasis on the
