Brent, I am compelled to write you this message to explain how dishonest and hypocritical Joe’s behaviour was. This may seem like a minor issue but it is very infuriating to me when an employee goes and reports false claims to. .. you, the boss and highest level of management. I know how serious it is if I am talked to by you and you’re the last person I want to disappoint. First of all the only reason I took a pastry is because many other people working the banquet were taking them on their break, so I thought it was okay. That being said, it is still no excuse and doesn’t justify my actions. Joe told me to put it back so I immediately did, and walked away. I did not give him a hard time or attitude what so ever, he totally made that up. After you talked to me, I was very frustrated for 2 reasons, the first being that I’ve seen him take those pastries himself! along with other food in the past, and second that he manipulated the story and lied. So I calmly approached him and asked why he told you that I was lipping
