Prob 9-4 Fig 9-78 Using superposition find the current through the 480 ohm resistor. There are three sources so we must solve the circuit for each of the three sources. We should assume the current goes to the right as that is consistent with all three sources. For Ia due to the +200 V source: open the current source and set the -60 V source to 0 V. Ia = 200/(120 + 480) = 200/600 = 0.333 A
