Δ V I V Direct Δ I f t Sean Daehn Impulse Lab Report Purpose: to develop a conceptual and mathematical model of the relationship between impulse and change in momentum. Apparatus: Procedure: Ethan pushed the cart through the photogate to measure the velocity before and after the impact with the force sensor we used. We used it to measure the force of the impact on the blue car by the force sensor with respect to time. Area under the force time graph is the impulse. We conducted eight collisions with each collision having a greater impulse. We also did three or four explosions.
