Sean Daehn Sin: Sin is any act, thought, word, or deed that is contrary to the word of God. There are two types of sin; actual sin and original sin. Original sin is the sin that you were born with. It is in our sinful, human nature. There is only one way to forgive one’s sin and that is through the sacrament of Holy Baptism. Actual sin is sins that one commits. There are two kinds of actual sin: sins of omission and sins of commission. Sins of omission are when you do not do something that you were supposed to do; such as skipping communion. Sins of commission are when you do something that you are not supposed to do. Like swearing, being disrespectful to your parents of other authorities. There was not sin when the world began. We as humans fell into sin when Adam and Eve ate the fruit from the tree in the Garden of Eden. Adam was tempted by the devil and because he had free will and was human he made the mistake of giving in to the devil. We sin everyday and do not even realize that we are sinning. That is why it is so hard to lead a god-
