Sean Daehn Stereotypes Stereotypes are standardized conception or image invested with special meaning and held in common by members of a group. Have you ever heard or believed that “short people can’t play basketball,” or that “tall people are clumsy,” “fat people are lazy,” or that “jocks are stupid?” These are all stereotypes that are just not true. Stereotypes are wrong. Everyday people stereotype about others. That makes others feel bad. Imagine if someone you knew got to their breaking point and hurt a bunch of other people.
