1 Exam 1: Preview • This is not a trivia quiz! You don ʼ t have to memorize little details such as dates or places of birth etc. I will test your understanding! This should determine how you prepare! Exam 1: How to prepare • Identify the key players (e.g., Plato, Aristotle, Copernicus,…)! For each, make notes that outline their contributions/thoughts/theories! For every lecture, identify the ”Big Questions”! (E.g.: Antiquity: How can planetary motions be understood I terms of perfect circular, uniform motion?) How do later epochs relate to earlier ones?
