Dear Mozi, I have been in deep thought these last few weeks, reflecting on our government. Our Chinese government has forgotten what it means to lead. The purpose of a leader is to lead by example, and to take care of his own. I believe our government is set on one way and one way of doing things. I on the other hand believe in finding a better way of doing things. I believe learning and knowledge must be practical. I believe to govern means to make right. A ruler should be a ruler who leads his people upright, and if there are those who stand crooked, surely they will fight to stand upright, and thus the crooked will be made upright. I would like you to remember this Mozi, “He who exercises government by means of his virtue may be compared to the north polar star, which keeps its place and all the stars turn towards it” (Legge, 1893). Hold fast this saying Mozi, for it will take you places. My golden rule is doing unto others what you would want others to do unto you. When it comes to leadership, you cannot expect to have a
