Give short answers to the following questions: (a) In the SternGerlach experiment the silver atoms do not exactly form two parallel lines on the photographic plate. Instead the end points of the lines converge. Explain why do we see such an effect. Also can you speculate what effects do the massive proton have on the splitting?
