resting your eyes First emerge of theta waves Stage two  more theta waves less likely to wake up sleep spindles, wants to keep you in sleep state stage thee start seeing delta waves very difficult to wake you up stage four  very very deep sleep my have to shake the person to wake up after four you move all the way to the first stage this is called REM sleep REM sleep
