The University of South Florida American Marketing Association Collegiate chapter has achieved success in the completion of the strategies as outlines in the Chapter Plan. In many instances, the results have exceeded the expectations making 2007-2008 one of the best years in chapter history. A variety of professional development, increased membership growth and accelerated involvement with International AMA, have positioned AMA Collegiate on the USF campus as an outstanding professional business organization. We developed our chapter theme for the year as “Gain Access to your Future…” so as to incorporate the theme of the 29 th Annual International Collegiate Conference. By doing so, we were able to inculcate the “Dig-it-al” theme through pictorial images and thereby projecting a message that would hopefully express our professional business aims to potential new members. Students of all disciplines join AMA for its professionalism when compared to other student organizations. Although our inception is fairly new among different student groups, our reputation is credible for the many resumes we help build for our members. With new members joining weekly, AMA collegiate will continue distinguish itself for the rest of chapter history. The planning period for the chapter 7 th Annual Golf ScramBULL was effectively prepared with many new and returning members eager for event operation to begin. They promoted an event through marketing tactics to business executives and achieved a well organized tournament. We created lasting partnerships with company representatives who participated, benefiting the USF Collegiate Chapter for years to come. Major goals accomplished from the tournament included increased member involvement and ultimately more than four-thousand five hundred dollars for our chapter’s activities; representing %%% increase from our goal of four thousand dollars. Our chapter applied for the community service grant from the American Marketing Association Foundation for the fourth year in the row. We sought to increase on-campus awareness of abused and bettered women and children in the Tampa Bay area by partnering with The Spring and The Spring Vintage Boutique; an organization which help prevent domestic violence, protect victims, and promote change in lives, families and communities. In November, we were thrill to learn that we have been awarded the funds to put our plan into action. Relationship building is a key to our success for our members and students. The potential for a
