19/11/2009 EE 404 Radar Systems Duration: 110 minutes Answer all questions 1 (30) a) Describe operation of a pulse radar system (by plotting diagrams and waveforms etc.). b) Define main parameters of a pulse radar systems(those discussed repeatedly in lessons!). c) Derive a simple radar equation by referring to the solutions in part (a) and part (b). d) Describe unambiguous range and blind speeds for pulse doppler radar, discuss and compare MTI (Moving Target Indicator) radar and pulse doppler radar in terms of blind speeds and range ambiguities, shortly. In answering this question, please, feel free to plot figures, describing parameters and components, signal waveforms etc., as described in lessons.
