Paper: Write a paper (6-8 typed pages) over Pink Think . Papers are to be double spaced, one-inch margins, 12 pt. font. The paper is worth 40% of your overall grade. Late papers are docked 10% of the paper total. 1) Identify a topic covered in the text that you would like to analyze. Select a minimum of ten images (which may come in many forms, such as magazine articles and pictures, film or television dialogue or scenes, prescriptive literature such as weight loss guides and children’s books, music lyrics, etc.). You will use these images to explore, support, and/or refute the mainstream perception of the topic you have chosen. 2) Consider applying outside academic sources (besides your book) to use to help with your analysis. These sources may provide factual information about your topic or they might simply be a framework for analyzing the images (for example, you might select an academic article that analyzes a film and use that as a “recipe” for doing your own analysis of a film or series of films (by the way, if
