12/17/10 Causes and risk factors of cancer The most common risk factors and causes for cancer are : Smoking tobacco Growing older Exposing yourself to a lot of sunlight Family history of cancer Poor diet, lack of physical activity, or being overweight

12/17/10 Prevention, detection, and diagnose techniques To prevent yourself from getting cancer avoid smoking or being exposed to smoke. Also, practice sun safety and recognize when your skin changes color. To detect cancer get tested regularly. Some test include mammograms and colonoscopy's. Different techniques that are used to find cancer are MRI or CT scans, biopsy, or blood and urine test.
