After consideration of all signs and symptoms medication was startedimmediately. The first intervention was application of nasal cannula and properpositioning of Mrs. J’s head in order to ensure she is comfortable and also to enhanceefficiency in treatment. Initiating 1V furosemide to the patient would then follow andtreatment process would begin as per the drugs that have been provided as statedbelow:1. IV furosemide (Lasix): Lasix diuretic helps the body in getting rid of extra water orfluids in the body by increasing the amount of urine produced. This is administered topatients following the symptoms given of breathing problems, jugular vein beingvisible, lung crackles, a peripheral pulse and the feeling of anxiety and being weak. Mrs.J’s kidney should be monitored regularly.2. Enalapril (vasotec): Used in the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system by inhibitingangiotensin conversion and thus permitting enzyme conversion. It remediescongestive heart failure and hypertension by using it in conjunction with the diuretic inwhich Lasix was used in this situation.
