12/18/10 Why saving energy is important The majority of our current energy sources are not renewable. When something is not renewable it means that once it is gone, it’s gone. One of the main sources of energy that we use now is oil, but as the fossil based fuels dry up, we are going to have to start learning more effective ways to get energy.
