The poverty rate has been at an incline in the past few years and everyone can’t help but wonder why it has been this way. In order to reduce the poverty rate, a hard look needs to be taken at the cost of living as well as what amount would be good for minimum wage so that people could make ends meet. It is estimated that there are 35.9 million people in the US alone that are living below the poverty standard. With the economy that way it is at this point in time, trying to find a job has become more and more of a struggle. Even with a degree in a specific field, it can still be difficult to find the job that you have worked so hard to get. Not only is everyone feeling the impact of the economy at home, but in the work place as well. Even when someone can find a job, they are not guaranteed the hours that they need in order to survive. The major companies are not wanted any of their employees to have any overtime because this costs them more money. So in order for the company to insure that they do
