Before doing any part of this exam, please read through all the steps. Make sure that all network cards are set to Local Only in the Virtual PC Environment.  Whenever rebooting, please double  check when the system comes back up that Local Only is Selected. 1. Create 3 new folders in the VM folder - name them - Primary DC, Secondary DC and Client 2. Place a copy of the fresh image in each folder 3. Name the machines with the standard naming convention - first initial, last name then DC1, DC2, Client - Example -  CBohlDC1, CBohlDC2, CBohlClient 4. Set the IP for DC1 to and set the IP for DC2 to 5. Run DC Promo on DC1 - name the domain (Do not name it anything else) 6. Run DC Promo on DC2 - make this a secondary domain controller for an existing domain. Hint: Make sure that you are  able to ping between both DC's 7. On DC2, setup DHCP.  Set the scope to be to  Make sure you also setup DNS within the  scope, so that the DNS server address is also assigned. 8. Start up the client, and let it pull an IP from DHCP.  Check to ensure it is pulling the correct information. 9. Join the Client to the domain.
