1. Delete last week’s DC and Client. 2. From the fresh Image, start two new servers 3. Assign one machine 192.168.1.100 and the other 192.168.1.101. Make sure the V ir tual Machine Network is set to Local Only for both machines. 4. Make sure both machines are able to ping each other (turn off firewall) 5. Promote the 192.168.1.100 to a domain controller. 6. Point the 192.168.1.101 DNS to the 192.168.1.100 server. Make sure you can ping t he domain by name from the .101 machine. 7. Run DCPromo on the 192.168.1.101 server, but do not create a new domain. Make t his a domain controller on an existing domain. 8. Create 5 user accounts on the Primary Domain Controller 9. Create a Group called “Test Group” on the Primary Domain Controller 10. Join all 5 user accounts to this group. 11. Log into the secondary Domain Controller, and watch for the user accounts and g roups to appear in Active Directory Users and Computers 12. Create 5 more users on the Secondary Domain Controller 13. Create a new group called “Pilot Group” on the Secondary Domain Controller 14. Join all 5 user accounts to this group. 15.
