Unformatted text preview: M N E 108/109 Week 5 Lab Please follow these directions as close as possible! 1. Keep your Windows XP machine, but delete your Windows 7 Install. 2. Re-install Windows 7, and name your machine AStudent_Win7. (First Initial, Last name, then Win7) 3. Delete the 3 users that were created in Windows XP yesterday. 4. Create a user called Carlos on your Windows XP machine. Add this user to the remote desktop User’s group. (Do this via the Manage Function) 5. Create a user called George on your Windows 7 machine. Add this user to the Power User’s group. 6. Enable remote desktop on both machines and use the accounts you have created to remote in to either machine. (Remember to t ry to PING if you can not connect, and also check firewalls) 7. Enter command prompt, and run a TraceRT to these four sites: Sullivan.edu, Google.com, Yahoo.com, & cnn.com.
