Like it or not Wal-Mart and Sam’s Clubs are here to stay. Wal-Mart’s pop up all across America everyday but no they are also starting to pop up around the world as well making a Wal-Mart a new global powerhouse. Initially the company started its expansion worldwide about 15 years ago. Now they have become known in many countries like Mexico, Germany, and the United Kingdom are just to name a few. But how will the general public in those countries accept Wal-Mart’s and there policies and way of operation. From research gathered from Wal-Mart’s website page for its investors it lists the following data as of September 28, 2006. It operates 323 stores in the United Kingdom, 391 in Japan, and 828 stores in Mexico. (Wal-Mart, 2006) Comparing the number from 2005 to 2006 it looks as if Wal-Mart’s new approach to expanding its company is working. However on the Quicktake.com stock page its hard to decipher how big of an impact the international stores have played into the increase in
