The text, Psychology and the Challenges of Life discusses several sources of stress. What sources of stress did the text identify in which you were previously unaware? While reading the text, the one stressor that I found which, I was previously unaware of would have to be in the section that discusses life changes. According to Axia Collage week three reading “Coming one after another, life changes, even positive ones, can lead to headaches, high blood pressure, and other health problems.’ (PSY210, p. 81). I never knew that something good could cause stress as well as bad things. I suppose though that to many good things could cause stress because of a person feeling like to much is happening to fast all at one time. Has your reading helped you identify any new sources of stress? If so, how might you

As I mentioned above in the life changes section on page 81, As I discovered that too many new things whether good or bad occurring all at one time can cause stress. I would say that I would deal with it as I have with any sort of stress I have encountered, which is asked for help as I needed it and take things one-step at a time. Stress can occur with anything that a person may encounter and I handle it best on a day-to-day bases not worrying what might be tomorrow but what is today. Family and friends is an excellent way to help deal with stress at least for me personally a call home to my mother or father usually is able to put me back on track. Reference: Axia collage. (2010).
