EECS 215F07 Problem Set #4 Assigned: 10/3/07 Due: 10/10/07 Homework is due at the beginning of lecture. Reading Assignment: Alexander and Sadiku, Chapter 5 General Advice on Homework: 1. Start early. Don’t wait till Tuesday night. 2. Be sure to draw the circuit and label it properly with reference directions for currents and reference polarities for voltages. 3. Show all the important steps in your calculation. 4. Textbook problems are from the course textbook, “Fundamentals of Electric Circuits,” 3 rd Edition . The individual problem statements follow on the next pages. 1. Review Problem a. For the circuit below, find the node voltages V 1 , V 2 , V 3 , and V 4 using nodal analysis. Verify your results using Pspice (either schematic capture mode or netlist). b. Find the equivalent resistance “seen” been terminals a&b by turning off independent sources and applying a test source & nodal analysis. Verify your result using Pspice.
