My ideal career like many other careers in the world, have requirements that have to be met before even be considered for a position. With the military these requirements are not just guidelines, they are laws, better known as regulation. Before I could even be considered to become a commissioned officer I would have to be able to meet the basic regulations. These regulations consist of being a graduate of an accredited university or a senior who is available to depart for training within 365 days. Students are required to have had maintained at least a 3.0 GPA while in college. They also require that everyone be a US citizen, at least 18 years of age at the time of commissioning, and they can not have reached the age of 34 before the initial selection board convening date. All other applicants must be commissioned before the age of 35. Even with all of my experience being in the US Army, I was still amazed to see how much I did not know about becoming an Air Force officer. There are many tasks that need to be
